Here Comes Santa… LIVE!
We’re excited to bring Santa to the Waimea community this year as part of a fun, socially safe event to support families in need! Santa Live is a 30-minute interactive drive-in experience with live song and dance performances, a snow machine, and photo op. Santa will broadcast live from the North Pole on a big screen and share personalized messages to your children!
Tickets are available now and all proceeds go toward Big Island Giving Tree’s annual holiday fundraiser to benefit Big Island families who are struggling to make ends meet, are homeless or are experiencing unfortunate circumstances. This event is a collaboration between BIGT, the Maunakea Observatories, Krave Marketing, and Waimea Community Association.
- Dates: Thursday – Sunday, Dec. 9 – 12, 5 to 10 p.m.
- Duration: Each night includes five 30 – 45-minute shows at the top of each hour
- Format: Drive-in
- Location: W.M. Keck Observatory HQ parking lot and front lawn in Waimea (65-1120 Mamalahoa Hwy)
- Tickets: Purchase online at www.808christmas.com.
Child Reacts to Santa Live
Please bring tickets with you to the event. When arriving, use the entrance with the roundabout closest to Church Row. Attendees are advised to show up 15 minutes before schedule showtimes. Parking will likely be determined by arrival order.
Please note: This is a rain or shine event and tickets are non-refundable. Attendees agree to use closed-air vehicles with no persons in the bed of trucks. During the drive-in portion, all cars must be parked forward facing with tailgates and hatches closed. Cars may get wet or soapy and actors may touch vehicles. If flashing lights are a medical issue for you or your child, do not purchase tickets. Leaving the car is prohibited during the performance. Photos with Santa and his elves will be allowed before the performance — families must keep a safe distance from other families whenever possible. Please be safe so we can continue this event!
