KECK ADVANCEMENT OFFICE

The W. M. Keck Observatory established an Advancement Office in July, 2005 to acquire sufficient philanthropic resources to reach the greatest ambitions of our 20-year strategic plan. Our primary objective is to develop a successful program that reflects the exemplary achievements of this world-class Observatory and secure at least $5 million annually in external funding sources.

DEBBIE GOODWIN, DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT
Debbie Goodwin
Debbie was raised on Oahu and gained her first fundraising experience from The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii and from her own non-profit which hosted cultural exchanges between Hawaii and Russia in the 1980's and 90's. She returned to Hawaii in 2005 after spending nine years in Northern California serving as Director of the Humboldt Arts Council and Interim Director of Advancement for Humboldt State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from UC Santa Cruz. 808.881.3814
JOAN CAMPBELL, ADVANCEMENT ASSISTANT
Joan Campbell
From an entrepreneurial professional career, Joan brings a vibrant skill set to apply to creating and managing special events, fund raising, and educational programs. She most recently worked as the Programs Director at Tutu's House in Waimea and as a fitness consultant. Joan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from UC San Diego and a Masters in Public Health degree from San Diego State University. 808.881.3854
